KirkThe TPCAR Rookie of the Year award was established in 2007 to recognize those new to the real estate industry that support the REALTOR® association, are involved in their community, and further their professionalism by earning REALTOR® designations, exhibit a commitment to education, and ethical business practices.

Kirk Lent started his career as a REALTOR® at the age of 53, and with a wife and two daughters to care for, it was no easy task. Along with all of the work that goes into becoming certified and learning the ropes, Kirk has also learned more about what it means to be a REALTOR® beyond the basics:

“We are an extremely hard working group of professionals,” he says. “We are called upon at all hours, and even when it’s late at night, we must still have compassion and grace and a willingness to calm a situation down and find a solution that is agreeable between both parties.

“The level of professionalism and teamwork that Windermere Professional Partners instills in each broker along with their desire to stay on the top of technological advancements in real estate has allowed me to reach higher levels of success at a faster rate than I could have expected,” Kirk shared. “Having this sense of security and the ability to close transactions successfully has been a rewarding and enjoyable experience.”

WPP highly values community involvement, and Kirk’s commitment to the community is demonstrated through his dedication to multiple committees and volunteer activities. He currently served on the Government Affairs Committee as key representative for Gig Harbor, he is the key contact for Michelle Caldier of the 26th district, he serves on the Standards of Practice Committee representing our 19th street office, and is also on the Member Services Committee. Kirk Lent also coaches girls lacrosse for the Harbor Fire Lacrosse Association and volunteers at the NW Furniture Bank.

“For how hard we all work as REALTORS® and the stressful situations that we must overcome, we all deserve recognition,” says Kirk. “I feel very fortunate to have received this award and will continue to stay involved with NAR and TPCAR and look forward to a very bright future in real estate. Thank you TPCAR for this award!”
